Exemplar Technologies is a Texas corporation in the business of software development since 1999. Exemplar Technologies is a self-funded and profitable operation based in Austin, TX. Exemplar has a core group of five employees, and works with a number of contractors to handle excess demand.

Joshua Ellinger, CTO/Chief Architect
Joshua founded Exemplar Technologies in 1999.
He has over 18 years of experience in software design, development, and management experience.
He has worked expensively with OLAP, data-mining alogrithms, and optimization. He
is the inventor and primary developer for the core framework that powers Exemplar's solutions.
Prior to founding Exemplar Technologies, he was a staff scientist for Pavilion Technologies in Austin, Texas.
At Pavilion, he designed and developed advanced algorithms for data mining, training neural networks, and
constrained optimization. He also was lead research developer on the Pavilion's Process Perfecter software
product, which earned the 1997 KPMG ICE award for product of the year in Austin.
He has a Sc.B in Electrical Engineering from University of Texas, Austin and is named on several patents.
Frank Reid, CEO
Frank has over 25 years of experience working for high tech companies in a varieties of roles
including product design, marketing, program management and general management of organizations
from 3 to 1000 employees. Before joining Exemplar in 2008, he served as Director/GM of Motorola’s Memory
Operations, Interim-CEO of BLOM Wireless, Director of Program Management for Agere Systems, and
Chief of Staff/Head of Program Execution for Freescale’s World Wide Design Division for Communications
Processors.
In addition to his work at Exemplar, Frank is an adjunct professor for Business at Austin Community College
and Vice-Chairman of the Austin YMCA.
He has a Sc.B in Electrical Engineering from Brown University and an Executive-MBA with Honors from Arizona State University.
Jonah Ellinger, Lead Developer - Broker/Dealer Application
He has over 15 years experience in all aspects of software development, including complex
data integration, web UI development, and database implementation.
Prior to joining Exemplar, he developed the DirectX graphics engine for Dawn of War - Virgin,
a real-time strategy game with 3D-terrain, Phong shading, and anti-aliased animated sprites.
He holds a B.A in Mathematics from the University of Texas, Austin
